Theresa Havard - Singer, Recording Artist
Theresa spent her early years studying music and
singing in the church choir. From 1980-1990 she was
coached in the classical genre singing oratorio's from
Mendelssohn, Faure's “Pie Jesu”, Shubert's “Ave Maria”
and spirituals. Her love of music kept her performing in
churches, schools, at social events, parties, weddings,
award ceremonies, and the list goes on.
Theresa has a three-octave range (from alto to
soprano), immediately recognized through her renditions
of “Daybreak” by Cheryl Lynn and “Over the Rainbow” by
Patti Labelle.
Theresa enjoys listening to Whitney Houston, but her
absolute favorite vocalist is Barbra Streisand. Theresa's
rendition of Barbra Streisand’s "People" has earned her
standing ovations everywhere she has performed it, as
well as her picture in Decorative Painter Magazine as
their 2004 Society of Decorative Painter's Conference at
the Phoenix Civil Plaza "Painter's Idol" 1st place winner.
Theresa also sings songs from other greats such as
Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Nancy Wilson, and Aretha
Franklin.
