Jerome "Thunder" Teasley - Drummer
Jerome, aka "Thunder", has been in music since he
was a small child. He built his first "stage” when he
was only six or seven, using tin tubs, cans and tree
limbs for sticks. He played guitar for a few years
before returning to real drums. Once Jerome
purchased his first drum set, no one could stop him.
While in the sixth grade, Jerome performed with the
local high school band. He began playing with a group
and was often asked to sit in with different groups.
When Wilson Pickett came to town and needed a
drummer, Jerome knew this was his chance,
Jerome is referred to as "THUNDER" in the industry,
because of his intense drum playing. In addition to
Wilson Pickett, Jerome has played with greats such as
Sam and Dave, Junior Walker and the All Stars, Ike
and Tina Turner, and Al Green.
Thunder has performed all over the world with various
groups, either as the drummer or as the opening act
for the show.
Jerome has recently written a short autobiography
entitled Behind the Stars and has joined Mercer Lee
on new endeavors, and is also the drummer for
AKAThisIsUs.
