Christopher Plummer - Drummer
Chris established his love of music early on beginning
with Suzuki training on the violin at age six. Over the
years he has played and competed: solo, sung in
choirs, played in concert bands, wind ensembles,
orchestras, marching bands, pipe bands, rock bands,
and jazz bands on a plethora of instruments. He found
his home behind the drum set in 8th grade and never
looked back.
Prior to joining Aka This Is Us he has played with
American Idol Top 8 finalist Scott MacIntryre, legendary
Bluesman Tommy Dukes and bassist Jimmy Mack both
members of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame.
Chris also plays with the prolific Christian recording
artist Scott Wesley Brown at church and is a member of
the Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band. In 2007 he competed
in Glasgow, Scotland with the grade 4 band at the
World Championships of Piping and Drumming. The
band placed first in Marching and Deportment and took
first place for their Tenor & Bass Drum section. This
was an incredible feat considering American grade 4
bands rarely place first in Scotland!
As a drummer and percussionist fluent in many styles
Chris has decades of experience. He keeps his playing
both dynamic and thoughtful always striving to give
space for the music to breathe.
