Captain Fly - Singer, Recording Artist, DJ

Robert V. Frye, a.k.a. "Captain Fly" is a true
entertainer. He writes and produces musicals, sings,
and is a disc jockey heard worldwide and broadcasted
weekly on 89.3 FM WPFW, a public radio station in
Washington, D.C. Captain Fly hosts "The Oldies House
Party" broadcast weekly and drives the Saturday
morning train, where listeners can call in to "ride the
train". In addition to being a DJ, he has also toured
internationally with artists such as Patti Labelle, James
Ingram, Peabo Bryan and many more.

Living next door to Mercer Lee, the Captain would often
come over to hang out with the band at practice, which
led to Captain Fly's frequent guest appearances with
Wellington & Company, singing the oldies but goodies.
Although they are now at opposite ends of the country,
the Captain and Mercer remain neighbors for life.

Captain Fly's mission is to keep the soul sounds of
yesterday alive. He has been very successful with this
endeavor as the lead vocalist for "The Intruders
Review,” an exciting Vegas style show that brings that
soul era to life with the sights and sounds of the
Intruders that will never be forgotten.

Look for Captain Fly to make guest appearances as
part of the  AKAThisIsUs family.
